The production’s show-stopping number comes right before the intermission. With its improvised percussion and a bravura display of fast and furious singing and tap-dancing, “I Got Rhythm” sends a full current electrical charge through the audience: “It’s a miracle we didn’t leap to our feet and join in! That number is worth the price of admission all by itself.”
